Four Wins in a Row
Four wins in their last four games has the surging Almaguin Spartans sitting close to the top of the GMHL's North Division standings. The most recent victories coming over the Seguin Huskies and Ville-Marie Pirates this past weekend.
At home, the Almaguin Spartans dominated Seguin in a 7:1 victory. Dominik Gerza had the victory in goal while Mathew Labrosse was the 2nd star of the game with a three point night. Morgan Kjellgren had three points of his own and was the game's third star.
The next night, the Spartans headed to Ville-Marie to take on the expansion Pirates. Mathew Labrosse had one of the strongest individual performances ever in the Spartan's jersey. He had 5 goals and an assist in an impressive 10:3 victory. Britton Whitehead had five points of his own while Ty Hannaford had 4 to be 2nd and 3rd stars of the game respectively.
Next up for the red hot Spartans is a home match vs. the Temiscaming Titans. The game at Home takes place on Friday, Sept. 29th with a 7:30pm puck drop.
