Tryout Camps

2018-19 Tryout camp details will be posted soon.

Established in 2013, the Niagara Whalers are one of the best operating Junior hockey franchises in Ontario, the coming 2017-18 season will be the teams 4th as a Junior team, and our 9th as a spring showcase organization. With an established fan base, and average attendance of over 350-400 per game, the past three seasons, the Whalers are the top draw for hockey in Port Colborne.  Playing for the Niagara Whalers Jr. and Spring Showcase teams has been a catalyst for many OHL, NCAA, and CIS careers.  Several Whalers alumni are currently dotting professional hockey rosters in the ECHL and Europe. During the 2016-17 season, several of our Whalers players have received NCAA, ACHA, CIS, ECHL, European Pro offers, with other players still looking at their NCAA options.

The Niagara Whalers are a leader in the GMHL when it comes to their commitment to professionalism on and off the ice.  Our facility, Vale Health & Wellness Center, is ranked as one of the top in the league, a professional dressing room with 26 stalls, therapy room, on site laundry, 4 sided score board, and NHL quality ice surface. The organization has a full time equipment manager/trainer to handle all equipment needs. Our team Trainer attends every practice and game. There are four practice sessions per week plus additional ice for goalie and player specific training. Weekly off ice training is part of the program, and handled by the Head Coach and staff.  The Niagara Whalers players are well coached, well trained, and have their needs looked after at a professional level.
