Hockey Training

Ice Time:
Each participant will have two ice sessions daily one hour each session.

On the ice the groups are divided into 3-4 different stations, each that teaches a different skill set. A progressive system is used, where basic skills are learned on Monday and advance throughout the week.

There is a ratio of 8 participants to 1 instructor on the ice.

All aspects of skating, passing, shooting, positioning and many other skills will be covered on the ice. Programs are developed according to the age and skill level of each group.

Saturdays are game days where players will play a one hour game. Parents are encouraged to join us for this game and cheer on the players!

1 to 1.5 Hours conditioning per day:
The basics of conditioning as it applies to hockey are taught, and designed based on the skill level of the group.

The World Hockey Centre wants players to see that you do not have to be on the ice all the time to improve your game.

We also include team building and ice breakers in this program to help the overall development of each participant.

1 to 1.5 Hours of Read and React per day. This program is designed to teach the systems of hockey and how to react to different situations on the ice through ball hockey. We have also a large shooting and stick handling component to this part of the program as we have 12 shooting lanes where we focus on

30 min to 45 min of Hockey talk per day. This gives students a chance to learn more about all aspects of the game in a fun learning environment. Participants will learn about hockey equipment, systems and even have a chance to ask some of our professional guest questions.

1 hour of Cross Training/pool time per day. All locations that have a pool will include fun pool time for each group. School locations that do not have a pool will have cross training times where we will play a variety of games.
