Dryland Junior CIT

Preparing aspiring Dryland Tainers for a instructing position

Available Positions:

• On-Ice Junior Trainer (2 Positions)
• Off-Ice Junior Trainer (2 Positions)
• Camp-Only Counselor (4 Positions)
Note: Each Youth & Senior camps have these availabilities

Session Dates:

• August 10 - August 23, 2014

 

Dryland Trainers:

• The CIT will receive additional training in coaching, leadership, off-ice hockey specific training and nutritional information for a dedicated athlete

• Assist in the operation of shooting sessions

• Will receive and are required learn the WHC dry land development drill book

• In addition, will assist in daily camp activities at the WHC facility.

 Specific Duties

• Assisting in dryland training and shooting instruction

• As a final evaluation, the CIT must create and execute a specific dryland training session tailored to that days development area of focus

• Full evaluation from WHC staff on progression, areas for improvement and reference letters following program completion

 Registration Details:

• Applicants must be aged 15+. First Aid/CPR is an asset.

• Program cost = $1,500 including tax.

• All interested candidates are required to complete and submit an online application form. Forms will be reviewed and selected candidates will be invited to meet for an interview (phone interviews also possible).
